Autovaccines are currently the most adequate way to protect each farm on a customized basis. They are the best alternative when no commercial vaccines are available, and adequately respond to new diseases and to minor pathologies. Likewise, they help reduce the use of antibiotics and combat resistant bacteria. Their efficacy has been demonstrated, and they are widely used in many countries. EXOPOL makes autovaccines with total traceability, from strain isolation in our diagnostic laboratory based on the samples received, to vaccine issuing in our manufacturing section. In this way we are able to guarantee personalized and exclusive protection for each farm. Our personal and direct service allows us to adequately adapt to our clients needs.
MAXIMUM PURIFICATION. MINIMUM ADVERSE REACTIONSEXOPOL autovaccines are subjected to intense purification to eliminate any impurities which might alter immune response and induce side effects. The immune enhancement achieved with liposomes makes it unnecessary to use oily adjutants and avoids the risk of side effects at the inoculation site. In order to complete liposome action, EXOPOL incorporates aluminum hydroxide to all its vaccines, at concentrations similar to those used in human medicine.
SAFETY AND RAPIDNESSFour quality controls are performed in the autovaccine manufacturing process: Purity control of the bacterial strain Purity control of the strain following multiplication
The task is performed in perfectly coordinated and isolated sections, involving a "no return" flow process to ensure maximum quality of our products. The delivery deadline from the confirmation of the order (previously isolated strain) to shipment of the autovaccines is 10 days (15 days in the case of Mycoplasmas). If you wish to learn about the scientific bases of our autovaccines, more extensive information can be obtained in Scientific Basis. Liposome immune-enhanced AUTOVACCINES.
LIPOSOMEExopol goes a step further with the exclusive incorporation of liposomes to the composition of autovaccines. The purpose of including liposomes is to facilitate presentation of the capsular antigens of the isolated bacteria (exopolysaccharides) to the host immune system and to reinforce its response. Exopolysaccharides form a protective capsule around the bacteria that in addition to limiting antibiotic action also prevents macrophage-mediated phagocytosis, thereby complicating the host immune response.
Exopol isolates the exopolysaccharide-producing variants from samples submitted by the clinician. After concentration and purification of the exopolysaccharides, the latter are incorporated to the walls and interior of the liposomes. The exopolysaccharides in turn originate from the strain isolated from the submitted sample. When the autovaccine is administered, its liposomes fuse their membranes with the host phagocyte cells, thereby allowing entry of the exopolysaccharides into the macrophages. In this way the host animals immune system is able to produce antibodies against the encapsulated antibodies, and consequently the reinforced immune reaction ensures enhanced vaccinal protection. According to the type of germ isolated, Exopol elaborates autovaccines with liposomes (70% of cases), liposomes and bacterins, or bacterins alone, when optimum immunity so requires.
