Autovac. E. coli

Use Prevention of neonatal diarrheas produced by Escherichia coli in rabbits.

Samples required for preparation Young rabbits, swabs obtained from cecum, bowel loop. Optionally send the isolated strain.

Composition Inactivated bacterial bodies of Escherichia coli. Adjuvant: Aluminum hydroxide.

Recommended protocol Vaccinate and revaccinate reproducing animals with an interval of 21-30 days. The second dose should be provided about 15 days before birthing. Apply a memory dose every 6 months, in positive palpation. If not possible, sheet vaccinate all reproducing animals. Via the subcutaneous route.

Observations In order to maintain the efficacy of these autovaccines, new strains should be isolated when diarrheas sporadically appear in some litters. Can be elaborated in combination with strains of Salmonella spp.

Presentation Bottle containing 100 doses.

Delivery dates Ten days after the ordering date (previously isolated strain).

Posology Dose per animal: 0,5 ml.

Recommended protocol Vaccinate and revaccinate future reproducers at 15 days of life and 21 days after. In adult females, sheet vaccinate and revaccinate with an interval of 21 days.

Observations In reproducers, and whenever possible, it is advisable to vaccinate the animals after 2 and 15 days of life. In adult females, sheet vaccinate and revaccinate with an interval of 21 days.

Resuspension of the lyophilized autovaccine

  • Before application, allow the preparation to reach room temperature. Dilute the lyophilized tablet with 2 ml of aluminum hydroxide, stir well and mix with the rest of adjuvant. Administer immediately after resuspension.
  • The autovaccine is marketed ready for use. Before administration, allow the product to reach room temperature.
